
High school art students recently saw an exhibit of world-renowned artist Ron Mueck at the Mori Art Museum in Roppongi. Ron Mueck alters the scale of his hyperrealistic sculptures to strip away the ordinary and force viewers into a visceral, emotional confrontation. As Mueck has explained, "We meet life-size people every day," so [altering the scale] makes you take notice in a way that you wouldn't do with something that's normal."
