At TIPS, I enjoy working with staff and students from all over the world. In December, we prepared for “International Day” which was our last day of school before the winter break. This event is an opportunity for us to celebrate the diversity of our school while also taking a moment to relax before we head into the final weeks of semester 1 in January. It’s hard to believe the semester is already coming to a close; it feels like just yesterday we were checking the WBGT chart to see if it was cool enough to go outside for PE. Now it is winter, and with it comes clear views of Mt. Fuji nearly every day. One of the school’s best “natural resources” is the beautiful, expansive fields between our campus and the Tama River, allowing students to take part in outdoor PE in a large space while enjoying incredible views of Mt. Fuji.
