On Friday November 24th, ISS students, staff and parents were entertained by a traditional Japanese storyteller. Shinoharu is a practicioner of the artform of Rakugo which requires many years of training to gain full status.
From a kneeling position in his traditional garb, Shinoharu told humorous stories that had his audience literally rolling with laughter, especially his story about a man with an unfortunate case of “tenshiki.” Afterwards Shinoharu took questions from the audience and shared further stories.
