Gr.6 Potato Farm Visit

During the Grade 6 visit to a potato farm, the students met the farmer, who shared fascinating stories about growing potatoes and explained the different types of potatoes grown on the farm. The farmer showed the students how potatoes are planted by using seed potatoes, which are small sprouted potatoes that grow into larger crops. The students had the opportunity to plant seed potatoes themselves, carefully placing them in the soil with the sprout facing up, gaining a deeper understanding of the different Earth Systems that contribute to successful farming.
