The Japanese Language and Culture class has been studying about various Japanese events. One of these events was Children's day, which is celebrated on May 5th. On this day, carp streamers are put on display to represent our hopes for children to grow up strong and healthy like the carps that swim up stream. We also learned that the United Nations has established a World Children’s Day on November 20th to celebrate and improve children’s rights and welfare. We hope you like our carp streamer (鯉のぼり)!!
