Variety Show: June 4, 2021

The 2021 TIPS Variety Show, against all odds, triumphantly took place on June 4th at the Gotanda Bunka Center. For months, students and teachers had been developing and rehearsing the various entertainment acts and on that day they were ready to go. With the help of the crack backstage crew, our school once again put on a show for the ages.

There was comedy, music, dance and the usual hijinks from our witty emcees. It was a memorable night for several reasons. First, there was no variety show last year, second, it was the first variety show for many of our younger students and it was the last variety show for our seniors. Mr. Brock and Mr. Wan were the directors and were quite happy, if not surprised, that they were able to pull it off.

“It’s one of the best things we do,” said Mr. Brock, “other than the ski trip the variety show is a favorite activity for everyone.”
