Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Brock Spore

Mr. Brock Spore (“Mr. Brock”), the Athletic Director and the teacher of High School Social Studies, is the most experienced teacher at TIPS and has been working 16 years with us. He talks about the never-changing positive part of his teaching.
"One thing that has never changed since I started (full-time) in 2004 is the energy and feedback I get from the students. That is what motivates me. Every day I have the challenge of engaging students in subjects they are not usually inclined to care about. Then they do. They have that “aha” moment and a whole new world opens up for them.
That’s why I work at TIPS. What could possibly be more positive about my job than that? "
